Donovan Mitchell recorded 34 points and six rebounds to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 109-95 victory over the host Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.
Evan Mobley added 21 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots and Caris LeVert had 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists for Cleveland, which completed a 2-2 road trip.
Max Strus registered 14 points and seven assists and Jarrett Allen had 11 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots for the Cavaliers.
Jerami Grant scored 17 points and rookie Duop Reath added a career-high 16 points for the Trail Blazers, who lost their fifth consecutive game. Skylar Mays and Matisse Thybulle scored 13 points apiece and Jabari Walker added 12 for Portland.
Shaedon Sharpe shot just 2-for-12 while contributing 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Trail Blazers.
The Cavaliers began the fourth quarter with a 16-6 run, capped by Mitchell's 3-pointer, to hold a 99-81 lead with 8:25 left in the contest.
Mitchell exited with 5:08 left and Cleveland leading by 17 and headed to the locker room for reasons not immediately known.
Even with Mitchell (13 of 20 from the field, 5 of 8 from 3-point range) out of the contest, the Trail Blazers couldn't mount a late charge.
Portland's Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) missed his third straight game. Cleveland's Winston Garland (neck) also sat out.
The Cavaliers shot 56 percent from the field despite going just 9 of 30 (30 percent) from 3-point range.
The Trail Blazers made 37.4 percent of their attempts and were 13 of 38 (34.2 percent) from behind the arc.
Cleveland led 25-11 just eight-plus minutes into the game and was up 30-25 at the end of the opening period.
The Trail Blazers took a two-point lead early in the second quarter before the Cavaliers scored 20 of the next 27 points to go up 52-41 on Craig Porter's layup with 4:11 left in the half.
Cleveland held a 55-47 lead at the break behind Mitchell's 17 points. Sharpe tallied 10 points in the half for Portland.
Mitchell buried a 3-pointer to give the Cavaliers a 70-53 advantage with 6:04 left in the third quarter. The Trail Blazers made five 3-pointers in a span of 2:58 to trim the deficit to five, but Cleveland took an 83-75 lead into the final stanza.
