Raptors 105, Magic 90: Kyle Lowry scored 17 of his 28 points in the third quarter as Toronto pulled away from visiting Orlando to post its fifth win in the last six games.
DeMar DeRozan recorded 17 of his 24 points in the second half for the Raptors, who won despite turning the ball over a season-high 24 times. Terrence Ross contributed 16 points and Amir Johnson added 12 before leaving the game with a sprained right ankle in a third quarter that featured Toronto making 12-of-14 shots from the field.
Tobias Harris led the way with 28 points and E’Twaun Moore had 16 off the bench as the Magic lost their 15th straight road game. Nikola Vucevic and Victor Oladipo each scored 11 for Orlando, which was playing without injured leading scorer Arron Afflalo (ankle).
Harris was 7-of-10 shooting to register 15 points in the first half as Orlando led in both quarters before Toronto scored 10 of the final 15 to edge in front 44-41 at intermission. DeRozan scored nine and Ross had eight as Toronto began the second half with a 22-10 run for a 15-point lead.
The Magic pulled within eight but Lowry drained four 3-pointers and the Raptors scored 36 points in the third quarter to take an 80-65 advantage into the final 12 minutes. Orlando chopped the lead to 12 before DeRozan scored four during an 8-2 run and Toronto was on its way.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Toronto has beaten the Magic six straight times and Lowry scored 61 combined in the two wins this season. … Orlando G Jameer Nelson had eight assists and scored nine points to pass C Shaquille O’Neal (8,019) for fourth on the franchise’s all-time scoring list with 8,025. … The Raptors are 24-2 when leading through three quarters and 22-4 after being up at halftime.
