Mavericks 105, Bulls 83: Monta Ellis scored 22 points and Vince Carter added 18 off the bench as Dallas breezed past Chicago.
Dirk Nowitzki also scored 18 and Shawn Marion tallied 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Mavericks, who had lost three straight in Chicago. Dallas shot 52.6 percent including 13-of-26 from 3-point range.
Joakim Noah collected 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls, who dropped to 1-8 against Western Conference opponents. Carlos Boozer and Taj Gibson added 13 points apiece as Chicago had its two-game winning streak snapped.
The Bulls led by three early and the teams traded the lead throughout the first quarter, but the Mavericks finished the period with nine straight points and used another 9-0 spurt early in the second to stretch it to 39-21. Chicago went more than six minutes without a field goal during the second quarter as Dallas built a 61-34 halftime advantage.
Chicago trimmed the margin to 22 midway through the third quarter before surrendering nine straight points again and trailing 86-56 entering the final stanza. The Bulls opened the fourth quarter with 16 straight points to get within 86-72 before Carter ended a drought of six-plus minutes and the Mavericks held on.
