Nuggets 111, Lakers 99: Timofey Mozgov recorded season highs of 23 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots, and Kenneth Faried added 21 points and 13 rebounds as host Denver defeated Los Angeles.

Ty Lawson contributed 19 points and seven assists as the Nuggets recorded a home victory over the Lakers for the 11th time in the last 15 meetings. Wilson Chandler tallied 12 points in his season debut as Denver won consecutive games for the first time this season.

Pau Gasol scored a season-best 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Jordan Hill added 18 points and a season-high 15 rebounds for Los Angeles. Steve Blake added 15 points and a season-high 11 assists for the Lakers, who drop to 4-6.

The Nuggets led by six five minutes into the final quarter before erupting for 10 consecutive points, including two 3-pointers from Chandler for a 103-87 lead with 5:03 to play. The Lakers never again trailed by single digits.

Denver led by as many as 13 in the first half en route to a 60-54 lead at the break. The Nuggets’ advantage was four entering the final stanza.
