Chris Paul had 19 points and 10 assists and Matt Barnes scored 19 points off the bench as visiting Los Angeles matched a franchise record with its eighth consecutive victory while handing Charlotte its ninth straight loss.

Blake Griffin also scored 19 points and Eric Bledsoe had 13 points and eight rebounds as the Clippers beat the Bobcats for the 11th time in the last 16 meetings.

Byron Mullens had 19 points and eight rebounds and Kemba Walker scored 17 points for the Bobcats, who haven’t won since beating the Washington Wizards in double overtime on Nov. 24.

The Clippers led the entire second half but Charlotte was within 81-78 after two free throws by Gerald Henderson with 8:45 remaining. Los Angeles responded with seven straight points as Bledsoe’s basket gave the Clippers a 10-point lead with 5:47 remaining.

Los Angeles led by as many as 10 points in the second quarter and was up 49-44 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Clippers previously won eight straight games during the 1991-92 season. … Walker fell three points shy of reaching 20 points for the fifth time in six outings. … The double-double is Paul’s ninth of the season.
