Timberwolves 107, Nets 96: Nikola Pekovic scored 21 points and visiting Minnesota stormed back from a 22-point third-quarter deficit to stun Brooklyn.
Andrei Kirilenko and reserve Chase Budinger added 16 points apiece and the Timberwolves ended the game on an 11-0 run after entering the fourth quarter trailing by 11 points at 86-75.
Rookie Alexey Shved scored all 10 of his points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in the final quarter to give Minnesota its sixth win in the last seven meetings with the Nets.
Deron Williams had 18 points and 13 assists and Joe Johnson scored 17 points for Brooklyn, which led 71-49 with 9:36 left in the third quarter after back-to-back 3-pointers by Williams.
Budinger and Kirilenko helped the Timberwolves cut the deficit in half by the end of the third, and a pair of 3-pointers by Budinger and Shved sparked an 8-0 run to pull Minnesota into a 92-92 tie with 6:25 left.
Johnson had Brooklyn's only field goal in the final six minutes and Minnesota pulled away with an 11-0 run over the final 2:35.
GAME NOTEBOOK: After failing to reach 60 points in the first half the entire 2011-12 season, the Nets have reached that mark in each of their first two games in their new arena. ... Timberwolves backup PG J.J. Barea was cleared to return to the lineup after suffering a mild concussion in Sunday's loss at Toronto. ... Nets F Gerald Wallace sat out the contest with an ankle injury sustained in the final minute of the opener. He was on the bench wearing a walking boot.
