Marcus Thornton scored 24 points to lead six players in double figures as the Sacramento Kings handed the visiting Phoenix Suns another tough loss with a 116-113 victory Tuesday night.
Phoenix (36-37) has lost four of its last five games and trails Memphis by 4 1/2 games for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Returning from a 4-1 road trip, Sacramento (21-52) earned its fourth consecutive win overall and third straight in the series.
Jared Dudley gave Phoenix a 110-109 lead before Thornton answered with a 3-pointer to make it 112-110 with 53 seconds left.
Phoenix's Channing Frye missed two 3-pointers around a pair of free throws by Tyreke Evans with 18 seconds left. Thornton sealed it with two free throws.
Beno Udrih scored 19 points, Donte Greene had 18, rookie DeMarcus Cousins had 17, Jason Thompson 14 and Evans 11 for the Kings. Thornton also had 11 rebounds.
Dudley and Frye each scored 21 points, Marcin Gortat had 17 and 11 rebounds and Steve Nash had 13 and 14 assists for the Suns.
