Marcus Thornton scored 27 points and Beno Udrih had 25 as the visiting Sacramento Kings defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 97-90 on Wednesday.
DeMarcus Cousins added 13 points and nine rebounds while Samuel Dalembert had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Sacramento (18-52).
Carlos Delfino had 30 points for Milwaukee (28-42), which fell three games behind the Indiana Pacers in the race for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
Thornton’s layup gave Sacramento an 86-81 lead with 5:46 remaining, but Milwaukee cut the margin to two points on three occasions, the final time coming when Delfino hit a 3-pointer to make it 92-90 with 1:10 remaining. Udrih hit three of four free throws and Thornton hit two free throws in the final 18 seconds for the Kings.
Andrew Bogut had 15 points and nine rebounds for Milwaukee.
Delfino scored 22 first-half points to help Milwaukee to a 56-53 halftime lead. Sacramento rebounded to take a 70-62 edge late in the third quarter but the Bucks responded with a 10-1 run to grab a one-point lead on Larry Sanders’ basket with 1:05 left in the quarter.
