Manu Ginobili hit a pair of 3-pointers and Matt Bonner added another to help the San Antonio Spurs pull away in the fourth quarter for a 100-89 road victory over the host Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.
DeJuan Blair scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Spurs won their third consecutive game to improve to an NBA-best 43-8. San Antonio is 3-1 on its nine-game "rodeo" road trip.
Tony Parker scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half for San Antonio, which was clinging to a two-point lead before the trio of 3-pointers by Ginobili and Bonner extended the lead to 89-80 with just over 4 1/2 minutes to play.
Will Bynum sparked a comeback by Detroit, scoring 12 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter. Rookie Greg Monroe added 14 and 13 boards for the Pistons, who had their two-game winning streak snapped.
San Antonio had six players in double figures. Ginobili finished with 13 points, Richard Jefferson added 11 and Tim Duncan and Bonner contributed 10 apiece.
