LaMarcus Aldridge had 19 points and a season-high 17 rebounds and Nicolas Batum scored 17 points as the Portland Trail Blazers rolled to a convincing 100-78 victory over the visiting Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.
Aldridge’s fourth double-double of the campaign helped Portland (6-3) accumulate a 45-33 edge on the boards while snapping Detroit’s two-game winning streak. Marcus Camby had eight rebounds for the Trail Blazers.
Rodney Stuckey scored 17 points for Detroit (2-6).
The Pistons shot just 42.5 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from the line while scoring under 100 points for the 11th consecutive time against Portland, dating to the 2004-05 season.
Portland held Detroit to 33 second-half points.
Rudy Fernandez scored 13 points, Brandon Roy added 11 and Dante Cunningham 10 on 5-for-6 shooting for the Blazers.
Austin Daye added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Pistons.
Portland led 36-25 after one quarter and comfortably for most of the contest.
