Jrue Holiday had 15 points and nine assists and Andre Iguodala had 13 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in the Philadelphia 76ers’ easy 102-80 victory over the host Sacramento Kings on Friday.
The win pulls the Sixers (36-33) a half-game ahead of the Knicks, who lost in Detroit on Friday, for the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference.
DeMarcus Cousins had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Kings (16-51), who had more turnovers (20) than assists (17) in losing for the eighth time in their last nine.
Philadelphia claimed the lead for good on a Holiday layup to make it 10-9 with 7:30 left in the first quarter. The Sixers gradually built the lead throughout the night, while holding the Kings (16-51) to a 35-percent shooting night.
Lou Williams had 14 points and Thaddeus Young added nine points and 10 rebounds, both off the bench, for the Sixers.
Reserve Omri Casspi scored 14 and Samuel Dalembert had 13 rebounds for Sacramento.
