Jamal Crawford scored 21 points off the bench, Al Horford had 17 points and nine rebounds and the Atlanta Hawks snapped the New York Knicks' five-game winning streak with a 99-90 road victory Saturday afternoon.
Atlanta shot 59 percent in the first quarter while building a double-digit lead, and the Hawks held that wide margin for most of the game despite cooling off and shooting 43 percent overall. The Knicks (8-9) pulled within 75-71 with 10:38 left, but Atlanta reeled off a 7-0 run to cushion the lead.
Mike Bibby scored 14 points and Marvin Williams and Josh Smith added 13 apiece for the Hawks, who endured a poor shooting game from leading scorer Joe Johnson. Johnson was 3-of-15 from the field for seven points, but he led the Hawks with 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Amar'e Stoudemire had 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Knicks, and Landry Fields added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Raymond Felton scored 18 for New York, and Wilson Chandler added 15 off the bench.
The Hawks (10-7) have won two straight since snapping a three-game losing streak.
