Brook Lopez scored 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the New Jersey Nets snapped a 12-game road losing streak with a 94-89 victory over the sliding Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night.
Kris Humphries added 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Nets, who beat New Orleans at home Wednesday but hadn’t won away from Newark since topping Memphis on Dec. 21.
Stephen Jackson scored 21 points and Gerald Wallace added 20 and nine rebounds, but the Bobcats lost for the sixth time in eight games after starting 11-6 under interim coach Paul Silas.
Lopez scored six of his 11 second-quarter points as the Nets closed the half on a 13-6 run to take a 52-37 lead at the break. The Bobcats chipped away and pulled within 83-79 on a 3-pointer by Jackson with 3:13 left, but Devin Harris drained a short jumper and fed Humphries for a layup with 2:23 left to restore order.
Harris finished with 16 points and eight assists.
