Dwight Howard had 30 points and 15 rebounds and Jameer Nelson and Mickael Pietrus sparked a third-quarter blitz that propelled the Orlando Magic to a 105-90 victory over the visiting New Jersey Nets on Friday.
Howard shot 9-of-13 from the floor and a surprising 12-of-16 from the line.
Nelson scored 10 points of his 20 points and had four assists in the third, and Pietrus knocked down a trio of 3-pointers as the Magic outscored the Nets 32-16 in the decisive period to take an 80-67 lead.
Two free throws and a 3-pointer by Vince Carter in the first minute of the fourth quarter increased the lead to 18.
Carter scored 19 points for the Magic, who scored a team record 78 points in the first half in a 128-86 waxing over the Minnesota on Wednesday.
Travis Outlaw scored 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting for the Nets, who are beginning a stretch of seven out of nine games on the road after playing their first four at home.
The Nets led by 10 points in the first half keyed by three 3-pointers from Terrance Williams and Outlaw and 10 points from Kris Humphries.
