Wenceel Perez hit an RBI single with two outs in the 11th inning to give the Detroit Tigers a 6-5 home win over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday.

Detroit snapped a five-game losing streak, while Kansas City had a five-game winning streak end.

Kansas City took a 5-4 lead in the 11th on an RBI single by Hunter Renfroe off Jason Foley (3-3), but Detroit answered in its half of the 11th on an RBI triple by Parker Meadows that tied the game at 5-5.

Following a double play, Perez lined a pitch from James McArthur (4-5) off the wall in right just over Renfroe to end the game.

The Royals took a 4-3 lead in the top of the 10th on an RBI sacrifice fly by Bobby Witt Jr., which would have been a single if not for a diving catch by Meadows.

With two outs and a runner on third in the bottom of the 10th, Detroit tied the game at 4-4 on an RBI double down the right field line by Justyn-Henry Malloy off Kansas City reliever Kris Bubic.

Kansas City held a 3-1 lead going into the ninth, but Detroit scored two runs off Kansas City reliever Hunter Harvey to tie the game and force extra innings.

Bligh Madris started the inning with his first home run of the season, a shot to right-center to make it 3-2. Then pinch hitter Zach McKinstry followed with a double down the right field line to put the tying run in scoring position.

Following a groundout to second base by Meadows that moved McKinstry over to third, Javier Baez tied the game at 3-3 with an RBI double off the wall in left.

With the game tied at 1-1, Kansas City took a 3-1 lead in the top of the seventh inning on a two-run home run to left by Paul DeJong, his 19th of the season.

The game was scoreless until the sixth inning, when Vinny Pasquantino hit a solo home run to make it 1-0 in favor of the Royals. It was Pasquantino's 15th blast of the season.

Detroit tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth when Andy Ibanez singled home Madris on a bloop single to right.
