Matt Chapman homered, Spencer Bivens worked a season-best five innings and the San Francisco Giants completed a series win over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers with a 10-4 romp on Sunday afternoon.
Jorge Soler doubled twice and scored a pair of runs for the Giants, who had lost five of six games against the Dodgers this season before taking two of three in the final home series of the year against their rivals.
Chris Taylor hit a home run and had an RBI double to lead the Dodgers.
Soler doubled and scored in the first inning, then had an RBI double as part of a two-run second. David Villar hit an RBI double in the third to make it 4-0 before the Giants blew the game open with a five-run fourth.
Chapman's homer, a two-run shot that was his 11th long ball of the season, capped the uprising after Heliot Ramos had doubled in a run and Patrick Bailey had doubled in two.
Dodgers starter James Paxton (7-2) was pulled after four innings, charged with nine runs on 12 hits. He walked two and struck out four.
Making his first major league start, Bivens (2-1) took a shutout into the fifth inning before serving up a solo home run to Taylor with one out. It was Taylor's second homer of 2024.
The 30-year-old rookie, who had never pitched more than three innings in a game this season, made it through the end of the fifth to qualify for the win. He allowed just the one run and four hits, with no walks and three strikeouts.
Taylor made it a two-hit, two-RBI day with an RBI double in the seventh for the Dodgers.
The Giants scored their final run in the eighth on an RBI double by Bailey, the club's 11th extra-base hit of the game and 10th double, a San Francisco-era franchise record.
Austin Barnes capped the visitors' scoring in the ninth with a two-run double.
Chapman and Bailey finished with three RBIs apiece and Ramos totaled two runs and three hits, including two doubles, for the Giants, who wrapped up a 5-2 homestand.
Bailey also doubled twice. Villar, Nick Ahmed and Tyler Fitzgerald all had two hits apiece on a 16-hit day for San Francisco.
Enrique Hernandez had a double and two singles for the Dodgers, who wrapped up a 4-2 road trip.
