The Angels' season-high five home runs came in support of C.J. Wilson, who struck out six and limited the Cubs to one run on four hits over seven innings. Wilson (9-6) has won five of his last six starts.
Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija (5-9) was tagged for nine runs on nine hits over 4 2/3 innings, serving up a career-high four blasts. Hamilton started the parade of homers with a three-run shot in the first and Trumbo hit a solo blast later in the inning as Los Angeles jumped on Samardzija for five runs.
Pujols and Hamilton chased Samardzija in the fifth with the Angels' first back-to-back homers of the season. Harris greeted reliever Henry Rodriguez with a two-run shot and Pujols drew a bases-loaded walk to cap the six-run frame.
The Cubs cut it to 5-1 on Anthony Rizzo's RBI single in the fourth, and Cody Ransom added a solo home run in the ninth for Chicago. Mike Trout was 3-for-4 with an RBI and scored twice for the Angels, who have won 11 of their last 14 games.
