Ryan Hartman scored twice as the visiting Minnesota Wild defeated the St. Louis Blues 5-2 on Saturday.
Jared Spurgeon and Jordan Greenway each had a goal and an assist for the Wild, who won for the eighth time in their last 10 games. Matt Dumba also scored, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 29 saves.
Calle Rosen and Robert Bortuzzo scored, Jordan Kyrou had two assists and Jordan Binnington made 27 saves for the Blues.
The Blues, who have just one victory in their last five games, also lost winger Vladimir Tarasenko to injury. He exited the game after a blocking a shot with his hand in the first period.
The Wild fell behind 1-0 less than six minutes into the game.
Rosen hit the right post with a blast from the slot, then he came back on a 3-on-1 rush with Robert Thomas and Kyrou. Rosen filled the middle lane and beat Fleury one-on-one with a move to his backhand.
Dumba tied the game 1-1 with 6:58 left in the period by stepping into the slot and converting Mats Zuccarello's centering pass.
The Wild took a 2-1 lead at the 1:40 mark of the second period. Marcus Foligno stole the puck from Binnington behind the net, then Frederick Gaudreau set up Hartman in front for the easy goal.
The Blues tied the game 2-2 less than four minutes later with another rush goal. This time Kyrou and Pavel Buchnevich sped up the ice and Bortuzzo joined as the trailer to score from the slot.
But just 12 seconds later Hartman put the Wild up 3-2. This time he intercepted Binnington's clearing attempt along the right boards and shot the puck into the net before the goaltender scrambled back into position.
Spurgeon made it 4-2 just 49 seconds into third period by jumping into the slot to bang home a loose puck. Greenway's empty-net goal with 4:04 left finished off the Blues.
