Kings 6, Blues 4: Marian Gaborik scored two goals and set up another while Anze Kopitar collected a tally and four assists as Los Angeles' top line ran roughshod in a wild win over visiting St. Louis.

Jeff Carter ended a 13-game goalless drought and added three assists for the Kings, who beat the Blues for the 11th time in their last 12 meetings in Los Angeles. Dwight King and defenseman Jake Muzzin also scored while Jonathan Quick stopped 24 shots to help end the Kings' three-game skid.

Jori Lehtera, captain David Backes, Dmitrij Jaskin and blue-liner Kevin Shattenkirk tallied for the Blues, who squandered a 3-0 lead as their five-game winning streak came to an end. Martin Brodeur made 31 saves in falling to 2-2-0 with the Blues.

Backes opened the scoring with a redirection during a power play at 13:12 of the first period and Jaskin doubled the advantage 1:11 later by deflecting defenseman Petteri Lindbohm's point shot past Quick on the blocker side. Shattenkirk made it 3-0 while on the man advantage at the 16-minute mark before the Kings finally responded, as Gaborik pounced on a wayward clearing attempt by Brodeur and fired a shot that glanced off the goaltender's blocker and in for a power-play goal.

Kopitar drew the Kings within one 6:14 into the middle session and Gaborik forged a tie during a man advantage with 4:19 remaining, whipping home the point-blank rebound of defenseman Drew Doughty's point shot. Lehtera's eighth of the season just 36 seconds later restored St. Louis' lead, but Carter squared things 20 seconds into the third and Muzzin completed the comeback at 8:58 with a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle that eluded Brodeur for a power-play tally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: King put away the game with a bizarre goal with 7:54 remaining, flipping a puck from center ice that took a strange bounce in front of the crease and skipped past a bewildered Brodeur. ... Gaborik has collected five goals and two assists during his three-game point streak. ...
