Kings 3, Flames 2: Anze Kopitar scored a goal and set up another as visiting Los Angeles withstood a late comeback attempt to extend its season-high winning streak to eight games.

Justin Williams and Trevor Lewis each added a tally for the Kings, who concluded a perfect three-game road trip. Defenseman Alec Martinez ran his point streak to five games with an assist and Martin Jones turned aside 24 shots as Los Angeles improved to 21-0-0 when leading after two periods this season.

Enforcer Brian McGrattan scored in his second straight game and Mike Cammalleri also tallied for the Flames, who had won two straight at home. Joni Ortio finished with 20 saves.

Los Angeles opened the scoring 4:05 into the contest as Williams tapped Kopitar's pass from above the left faceoff circle past Ortio. Lewis doubled the lead at the exact midway point of the first period by tipping defenseman Slava Voynov's shot from the right point past Ortio, who was without his stick.

The Kings made it 3-0 at 7:01 of the third, when Kopitar deflected blue-liner Drew Doughty's shot from the right point by Ortio for his 20th of the season. Cammalleri ended Jones' shutout bid during a power play with 4:31 remaining and McGrattan scored from the slot 2:09 later, but the Flames were unable to get the equalizer.
