Kings 6, Avalanche 4: Anze Kopitar scored two goals and assisted on another as visiting Los Angeles rallied from a two-goal deficit to jolt Colorado.

Jeff Carter and Justin Williams had a goal and an assist apiece while defenseman Robyn Regehr and Jarret Stoll also tallied as the Kings won for the third time in 12 games (3-8-1) with their highest offensive output since a 6-0 win at Montreal on Dec. 10. Tyler Toffoli collected a pair of assists and Martin Jones turned aside 25 shots to earn his first victory since Dec. 21.

Ryan O'Reilly and Jamie McGinn each recorded a goal and an assist for the Avalanche, who lost for only the third time in 26 games (23-2-1) when leading after one period despite going 3-for-5 on the power play. PA Parenteau and defenseman Andre Benoit also scored while Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 22 saves as Colorado fell to 5-3-0 in its last eight.

Kopitar ignited the comeback, scoring 67 seconds after Benoit gave the Avalanche a 4-2 lead with 4:18 left in the middle session. Carter tied it with a deflection of Mike Richards' shot at 18:53 before Kopitar tapped in the go-ahead goal during a power play at 3:13 of the third - his sixth tally in nine games - after Carter's shot attempt bounced over the head of Giguere and landed on the goal line.

O'Reilly answered Regehr's opening goal at 11:17 of the first period, scoring from in front off a pass from defenseman Nick Holden before Duchene set up Parenteau for a redirection with 3:28 left in the session. Stoll tied it 24 seconds into the second, but the Avalanche appeared to take command on power-play tallies by McGinn and Benoit.
