North Carolina State 72, Florida State 63: Ralston Turner scored 15 points as the Wolfpack held on to win an ACC game on the road.

Turner also grabbed five rebounds, and Trevor Lacey posted 17 points, five rebounds and four assists for North Carolina State (13-6, 4-2). Caleb Martin and Kyle Washington had eight points each, and Lennard Freeman and Beejay Anya had seven apiece to lead a Wolfpack bench that scored 22 points.

Montay Brandon put up 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to pace Florida State (9-9, 1-4), which lost for the fourth time in five games. Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 15 points, five rebounds and five assists, and Devon Bookert supplied 11 points for the Seminoles.

The Wolfpack threatened to turn the game into a rout in the first half, going up by 19 points with a little more than five minutes left, but the Seminoles closed well with Rathan-Mayes, Bookert and Brandon accounting for the final 15 points for Florida State, which cut the deficit to 42-30 at the break.

Brandon scored eight points in the span of three minutes to trim the lead to 52-49 at the midway point of the second half, but the Seminoles missed a chance to tie and Ralston hit a triple to give the Wolfpack some breathing room. Florida State got even at 60 with four minutes remaining, but again Ralston hit a 3-pointer and four points each from Lacey and Cody Martin locked down the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: NC State received 21 points and 11-of-16 shooting from their bench in the first half compared to just six points for the Seminoles. ... Phil Cofer and Rathan-Mayes had three steals each as the Seminoles came up with nine in the game. ... The Wolfpack shot 44.3 percent from the field while Florida State finished at 37.3 percent.
