Utah 57, Idaho State 46: Dallin Bachynski scored 11 of his 22 points in the second half as the host Runnin' Utes dominated after intermission to win the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament game.
Bachynski shot 9-of-15 from the field and collected 16 rebounds for Utah (2-1), which overcame a seven-point halftime deficit.
Melvin Morgan had 15 points for Idaho State (0-3), which struggled from beyond the arc. The Bengals made 2-of-16 attempts from 3-point range to shoot themselves out of the contest.
After Idaho State closed the first half on a 12-2 run to seize a 29-22 lead at intermission, Glen Dean drilled a 3-pointer to cap a 12-4 run.
Bachynski dominated the paint as the Utes amassed a 26-9 edge to start the second half before pulling away.
