WASHINGTON 75, OREGON STATE 72: Terrence Ross scored 21 points and C.J. Wilcox hit several late free throws to help Washington draw clear of Oregon State in the final five minutes and rebound from its worst loss of the season.

Wilcox had 17 points for Washington (17-8, 10-3 Pac-12), which remained in a tie for first place with California. Wilcox was seven-of-nine from the foul line, with all of his shots coming in the final six minutes.

Oregon State (15-10, 5-8 Pac-12) trailed 70-68 after Ahmad Starks’ three-pointer with 24 seconds left, but the Huskies answered by making four of their final five foul shots. The game was tied at 31 at halftime, and neither team led by more than six.

Washington, which was coming off an 82-57 loss at Oregon, improved to 12-0 when shooting more free throws than its opponents. The Huskies were 24-of-35 from the line, while the Beavers were 16-of-26.

Jared Cunningham scored 14 of his 23 points in the second half for Oregon State, which has lost three of its last four. Devon Collier had 16 points and seven rebounds.

Washington freshman Tony Wroten, who scored 26 points in his first game against Oregon State, had 12 points and seven assists. Ross grabbed 13 rebounds for his team-leading sixth double-double.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The game was delayed for six minutes early in the second half when Starks fell into the crowd, causing food to fall onto the court…Wroten’s 411 points this season are the third-most by a Washington freshman…The Huskies avoided being swept in consecutive seasons during the Oregon swing for the first time since 1990 and 1991…Oregon State’s home crowd of 8,047 was its largest this season.
