Devon Collier scored 13 points and visiting Oregon State cruised to a 66-46 win over Towson University on Saturday with President Obama and his family in attendance.
Jared Cunningham, Joe Burton and Roberto Nelson added 12 points apiece for Oregon State (5-1), which went 2-1 on its 10-day East Coast trip.
The Beavers opened the trip with an overtime win over Texas before losing 64-62 to No. 22 Vanderbilt.
Towson (0-5) trailed by eight early in the second half before Oregon State pulled away with a 28-10 run. Marcus Damas recorded his first career double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Oregon State coach Craig Robinson, brother of Michelle Obama, has the Beavers off to impressive start. Picked to finish eighth in the Pac-12 preseason media poll, Oregon State begins a five-game homestand on Dec. 4.
Towson outrebounded Oregon State 33-19, but the Tigers committed 21 turnovers. Towson lost its home opener for the first time in six years.
