Quinn Cook and Nick Young, replacing the injured Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, scored 28 and 20 points, respectively, helping the Warriors shake off a home loss to Sacramento on Friday night with just their second win in their last five games.
Josh Jackson poured in a season-best 36 points for the Suns, who were shorthanded as well, playing without leading scorer Devin Booker, who was out with a sprained right hand.
The Warriors, who were without the injured Kevin Durant as well, trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half and were down 69-62 with 8:20 remaining in the third quarter before turning things around.
Cook and Draymond Green also completed three-point plays on the decisive run that lasted 3:15 and propelled the defending champs into a 78-71 lead.
Golden State, which had been 0-2 the past two seasons when Curry, Thompson and Durant all missed the same game, pulled away into a 12-point lead later in the third quarter and extended the margin to 16 in the final period before coasting home.
Cook, who had a career-high 25 points in Friday's loss to the Kings, went three better on the strength of 5-for-7 shooting on 3-pointers.
Green hit four 3-pointers on a 25-point night and Young added three treys to account for almost half his 20 points, as Golden State hit 13 of its 31 shots from beyond the arc.
Green also found time for game-highs in rebounds (11) and assists (eight).
The shorthanded Warriors nonetheless demonstrated great depth, with Kevon Looney (13 points), Iguodala (11), Shaun Livingston (11) and David West (10) also scoring in double figures.
Jackson's 36 points were seven more than his previous best, which occurred last month at Memphis. The rookie connected on 14 of his 23 shots.
Troy Daniels added 18 points, while Elfrid Payton had 11 and Marquese Chriss 10 for Phoenix, which lost for the 18th time in its last 19 games.
Payton also contributed a team-high seven assists, and Alex Len collected a team-best nine rebounds for the Suns, who have lost 13 straight to Golden State.
