Clippers 98, Warriors 96: Blake Griffin scored 32 points and DeAndre Jordan recorded 14 points, 22 rebounds and five blocks as visiting Los Angeles took back homecourt advantage from Golden State.

Chris Paul added 15 points and 10 assists and J.J. Redick scored 14 for the Clippers, who grabbed a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference series. Jamal Crawford scored 13 points off the bench as Los Angeles overcame a 10-of-23 effort at the free-throw line.

Klay Thompson scored 26 points and Stephen Curry had 16 points and 15 assists but came up short on a game-winning 3-point attempt in the final seconds for the Warriors, who host Game 4 on Sunday. Draymond Green added 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench and David Lee contributed 12 points and nine boards for Golden State.

Thompson’s bank shot drew the Warriors within 87-86 with 4:24 left but Griffin knocked down a turnaround as the shot clock expired and Jordan swatted away a shot at the other end in front of five straight points from Paul to stretch it back out to an eight-point edge. Curry sandwiched a pair of long off-balance 3-pointers around one free throw by Griffin to cut it back to 97-96 and Paul split a pair at the line before Curry’s final shot.

The Clippers opened the third quarter with a 19-4 run to take a 65-47 lead but the Warriors crept back within eight points before settling for a 75-64 deficit heading into the fourth. Lee’s tip-in just in front of the midway point of the fourth brought Golden State within 85-78.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Clippers F Matt Barnes suffered a jammed left big toe and had the trainers set it back in place on the bench before returning in the fourth quarter. … Griffin is the first Clippers player to score 30 or more points in back-to-back playoff games since Elton Brand in 2006 while Griffin tied the franchise rebound record for a postseason game set by Bob McAdoo in 1976 during the club's Buffalo era. … Los Angeles won at Golden State for the first time since Dec. 25, 2011.
