Bobcats 104, Raptors 102 (OT): Kemba Walker hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer as Charlotte stunned host Toronto.
Kyle Lowry's long 3-pointer with 12 seconds remaining forced overtime, and the Raptors took advantage of four missed foul shots by Charlotte in the final minute of overtime to tie it on DeMar DeRozan's free throw with one second left. Walker then gathered Josh McRoberts' inbound pass and heaved an 18-footer that barely beat the buzzer, handing Charlotte its second win in as many nights.
Walker finished with 29 points while Al Jefferson added 24 points and 11 rebounds. DeRozan's 30 points paced the Raptors, while Lowry added 17.
Back-to-back baskets from Gerald Henderson and Ramon Sessions helped the Bobcats erase a five-point deficit near the midway point of the final quarter, and the teams swapped leads down the stretch. Patrick Patterson's putback of Amir Johnson's miss gave Toronto a 90-89 edge with 1:31 remaining, but McRoberts answered with a short jumper over Johnson a minute later after DeRozan missed a chance to make it a two-possession game at the other end.
DeRozan poured in 14 points and the Raptors used 11-0 and 7-0 runs in the
second quarter to take a 47-37 advantage into the break. Four straight
points from DeRozan stretched the lead to 16 early in the third, but Charlotte stormed back with a 25-9 burst fueled by three-point plays from
Walker and Jefferson to go into the fourth tied 70-70.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bobcats, who entered the night as the league's worst 3-point shooting team (29.7 percent), went 8-of-15 versus the Raptors. ... DeRozan went 0-for-4 from long range and is just 2-for-21 from beyond the arc in his last six games. ... Charlotte surrendered more than 100 points for just the second time in its last 19 games.
