Bobcats 105, 76ers 88: Jeff Taylor scored 20 points while starting in place of the injured Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to lead Charlotte past visiting Philadelphia.
Gerald Henderson added 18 points and Kemba Walker collected 18 and 10 assists for the Bobcats, who snapped a 15-game streak of scoring fewer than 100 points. Al Jefferson had 14 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth straight double-double.
Tony Wroten recorded 21 points, nine assists and eight rebounds in place of rookie Michael Carter-Williams, who sat with a knee injury. Evan Turner scored 16 points and Spencer Hawes added 10 and 13 rebounds for the 76ers.
The Bobcats came out on fire and finished the first quarter with a 16-8 run to grab a 36-33 lead. Charlotte ended up shooting 54.3 percent in the first half behind 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting from Taylor to take a 62-51 lead into the break.
Philadelphia never got closer than 10 points in the third quarter and trailed 91-80 after Hollis Thompson’s jumper with 9:11 left. The 76ers went the next 4 1/2 minutes without a point as the Bobcats pulled away.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia came in averaging 104.2 points and failed to reach 90 for the second time this season. … Carter-Williams is not expected to play on Saturday when the 76ers host the Denver Nuggets. … The teams combined to go 10-for-48 from 3-point range.
