Francisco Garcia added 14 points and Greg Smith and Carlos Delfino contributed 12 apiece for the Rockets, who swept the season series and have won seven of their last 10 overall. Houston is in seventh place in the Western Conference, one game behind idle Golden State.
Maurice Harkless poured in 28 points and Tobias Harris contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds for Orlando, which dropped its eighth consecutive road game and has lost 12 of 14 overall. Beno Udrih (17 points, 10 assists) and Nikola Vucevic (12 points, 13 rebounds) also recorded double-doubles.
This one was never competitive, as Houston raced out to a 12-2 lead and dominated from the outset. The Rockets were 15-for-26 from the field in the first quarter while building a 32-14 advantage after one.
The Magic were unable to close the gap, as the margin was 65-43 at halftime and remained in double digits until Orlando rallied against Houston's subs in the final minute.
