Magic 99, 76ers 91: Jameer Nelson scored 24 points and dished out 10 assists and Nikola Vucevic added 14 points and 17 rebounds as Orlando edged Philadelphia to end its seven-game home losing streak.
Thaddeus Young had 26 points and 12 rebounds and Spencer Hawes added 15 points for Philadelphia, which has lost five straight and 12 of its last 13 games to fall out of playoff contention.
Sixers guard Damien Wilkins had 16 points in his first start of the season, but he made a costly turnover with 1:10 left and Orlando’s Arron Afflalo connected on a 3-pointer to put the Magic ahead 96-89.
Young answered with a basket to cut the deficit to five with 55 seconds left, but the Sixers failed to score again and dropped their 13th consecutive road game. Sixers leading scorer Jrue Holiday missed 12 of his 16 shots from the field and finished with eight points.
Afflalo scored 17 points and Tobias Harris had 15 for Orlando, which was 12-for-27 from 3-point range. Vucevic recorded his 35th double-double this season.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia’s 13-game road losing streak is its longest since losing 20 straight in 1987-88. …Orlando has won 23 of the past 29 meetings with Philadelphia, including nine of the last 10. … The Sixers were 5-of-7 from the foul line, while Orlando made 6-of-10 free throws.
