RAPTORS 84, CELTICS 79:
DeMar DeRozan scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half and host Toronto proved it is not about to roll over down the stretch in snapping a four-game slide. Boston had a four-game winning streak end.

Linas Kleiza added 17 points off the bench and Amir Johnson chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds for the Raptors.

Toronto led by as much as 15 in the fourth quarter before Boston ripped off a 20-6 run to pull within a point, 78-77, with 20 seconds left.

But DeRozan made a pair of free throws and Kleiza hit four from the line in the final 13 seconds to secure it.

The Celtics, who had knocked off playoff contenders in each of their last four games, had a clear letdown at the start of a four-game road trip.

Boston held Toronto to 23 percent shooting in the first half but only managed a 36-30 lead at the break after being outrebounded 28-18 and sending the Raptors to the free throw line 14 times in the half.

Toronto solved its shooting woes while Boston endured some of its own in the third. The Raptors began the frame with an 18-4 burst to take the lead and ended up outscoring the Celtics 27-11. DeRozan led the way with 13 points in the period.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Celtics began a stretch of three road games in as many nights on Friday. … Celtics G Rajon Rondo recorded 12 assists, extending his streak of double-digit assists to 20 games. … Raptors F/C Andrea Bargnani (calf) missed his third straight game.
