Kevin Durant scored 30 points and went 4-of-4 from 3-point range as the Oklahoma City Thunder took down the host Houston Rockets, 118-112, on Wednesday.

Russell Westbrook finished with 23 points and 13 assists and Serge Ibaka chipped in 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting off the bench for the Thunder, who have won three straight games. Oklahoma City shot 52 percent from the field, including 6-of-15 from the arc.

Trailing by two at the half, Oklahoma City opened the third quarter with a 22-8 run to grab control, pushing the lead to 72-62 on Ibaka‘s layup with 5:28 left. The Rockets recovered, getting 11 straight points from Luis Scola to close it to 82-79 heading into the fourth period.

Houston tied it at 90-90 early in the final frame and was within 96-94 with 6:33 left before Oklahoma City began to pull away. Jeff Green took a feed from Westbrook for a dunk and Durant nailed a 3-pointer to kick off an 11-0 spurt over the next four minutes.

The Rockets had one more run in them, pulling within a basket with eight seconds left. But James Harden hit four free throws to put it away.

Scola collected 31 points and 11 rebounds for Houston, which has lost six of seven.
