Jake Guentzel scored 37 seconds into overtime to lift the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins to a 2-1 win against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night.
Guentzel, who had an 18-game point streak come to an end in a 6-2 loss at the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, scored the game winner off a feed from Sidney Crosby.
Guentzel and Kris Letang each had a goal and an assist, and Louis Domingue made 40 saves in his first start for Pittsburgh, which has won 12 of 14.
Domingue notched his first win since Jan. 12, 2020, when he played for the New Jersey Devils and made 26 saves against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Rudolfs Balcers scored, and Adin Hill made 25 saves for the Sharks, who had won three of four.
Balcers, who had been out since Dec. 3 with a lower-body injury until returning Thursday against the New York Rangers, gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead at 7:01 of the first period.
Erik Karlsson made a spinning no-look pass to Balcers in the slot and he chipped the puck high in the net for his third goal of the season and first since Nov. 6.
The Penguins tied it 1-1 at 10:56 of the first.
Guentzel left the puck for Letang coming through the neutral zone with speed and he skated in on Hill before beating him with a quick move to his backhand for his third goal of the season.
The Sharks had a four-minute power play after Guentzel was called for high-sticking and drew blood from Jonathan Dahlen.
The Penguins, who came in with the second-best penalty-kill unit in the NHL at 89.9 percent, killed the first 1:10 to end the second period and the next 2:50 to start the third and keep the score tied.
The Sharks had two more power plays in the third period, but couldn't capitalize.
The Penguins beat the Sharks 8-5 when they met on Jan. 2 in Pittsburgh.
