Rangers 4, Jets 2: Derek Stepan scored two goals and captain Ryan Callahan recorded a short-handed tally and three assists as New York rebounded from a pair of shutout losses to topple visiting Winnipeg.
Rick Nash recorded his team-leading 13th goal - and 10th in the third period - and added an assist. Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 26 shots for the Rangers, who kept the Jets scoreless on five power-play opportunities.
Nik Antropov and defenseman Zach Bogosian scored while Ondrej Pavelec finished with 31 saves for the Jets, who have dropped three in a row and five of seven.
Stepan scored 19 seconds into the contest to end the Rangers' scoreless streak at 128 minutes, 6 seconds. He gave New York a 3-2 lead at 5:46 of the third period, cleaning up the rebound of defenseman Anton Stralman's point shot for his seventh goal in 12 contests.
With Winnipeg holding a 2-1 lead during the waning moments of a 5-on-3 power play, Callahan turned the tide of the game by making a brilliant individual effort to forge a tie. The captain knocked a puck out of the air, skated up the right wing and shielded it from a diving defender before beating Pavelec with a backhander.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Lundqvist recorded his 267th career victory, tying him with Eddie Giacomin for second place in franchise history. Mike Richter is first with 301 wins. ... New York's victory prevented Winnipeg from sweeping the season series for the first time since 2002-03. The latter franchise was known as the Atlanta Thrashers at the time. ... Stepan preserved a 1-1 contest by making a save with his right knee in the crease on Kyle Wellwood's shot midway through the first period.
