Bills 26, Browns 10:
Kyle Orton threw for a touchdown and Dan Carpenter hit four fourth-quarter field goals as Buffalo topped visiting Cleveland, which gave rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel significant action for the first time.

Manziel, who had thrown just one pass all season, came off the bench in the fourth quarter and finished his first drive with a 10-yard touchdown run to get the Browns within 20-10, but it was not enough as the Bills (7-5) improved their playoff chances in the muddled AFC. Orton completed 17-of-31 passes for 190 yards with two interceptions for Buffalo, which was bolstered by a fumble return for a TD by defensive end Jerry Hughes.

Brian Hoyer was 18-of-30 for 192 yards before being lifted in favor of Manziel after his second interception early in the fourth. Manziel, the brash backup drafted 22nd overall out of Texas A&M, also completed 5-of-8 passes for 63 yards for Cleveland (7-5), which had three turnovers and 10 penalties.

After converting a fourth-and-3 with a 34-yard strike to Robert Woods, Orton found Chris Hogan for a 3-yard score with 8:04 left in the third quarter to make it 7-3, and Hughes forced a fumble by Terrance West on the very next play from scrimmage before taking it back 18 yards to give Buffalo - which was scoreless for the first 36-plus minutes - two TDs in 10 seconds. Carpenter hit two field goals prior to Manziel's run and added two more in the closing moments to cap the scoring.

The Bills managed five first downs in the first half, during which the only scoring came on Billy Cundiff's 22-yard field goal that gave Cleveland a 3-0 lead late in the opening quarter. Orton was picked off in the end zone on Buffalo's first drive of the second period, Cundiff missed a 37-yard attempt and Hoyer was intercepted before Carpenter's 53-yard try in the final second was blocked to end a sluggish first half.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Bills were playing their second game at Ralph Wilson Stadium in a span of 41 days after being forced to play a "home" game at Detroit last week due to massive snowfall in Buffalo. ... Woods and TE MarQueis Gray led Buffalo with 71 receiving yards apiece while RB Fred Jackson had 97 total yards. ... Manziel seemingly had a fumble recovered for a Bills touchdown with three minutes to go, but a review showed his arm moving forward and the play was ruled an incomplete pass.
