Baylor (16-7, 6-4 Big 12), coming off an overtime win at No. 22 Texas A&M last weekend, strengthened its hold on third place in the Big 12.

Nebraska (15-8, 3-6) lost its third straight and fell for the fourth time in the last five outings in dropping to 0-5 on the road in conference play.

Baylor withstood a number of second-half rallies by Nebraska but never lost the lead. The Bears outrebounded the Cornhuskers 28-21 and converted 31 of 44 free throws.

Quincy Acy came off the bench to score 15 points, grab seven rebounds and collect four steals for Baylor. Freshman standout Perry Jones III added 11 points and seven boards.

Nebraska was led by Toney McCray, who came off the bench to score a career-best 23 points. Lance Jeter chipped in 13 points and six assists. But the Cornhuskers were outscored 31-16 at the charity stripe.
