Anthony Gurley was a scoring machine for Massachusetts Saturday night, but he couldn’t stop Jordan Theodore and the rest of Seton Hall’s balanced attack.

Seven players scored in double figures for Seton Hall, led by 17 points and eight assists from Theodore, as the Pirates posted a 104-79 win over Massachusetts in action at the Mullins Center in Amherst, Mass. The 104 points was the most scored by a Seton Hall team since a 109-106 win over Providence in March’s Big East Tournament.

Seton Hall (4-4) shot 36-of-60 (60 percent) from the field and scored 46 of its points in the paint, even as it committed 18 turnovers. The Pirates were 11-of-22 from 3-point range (50 percent) and Massachusetts was 9-of-22 (40.9 percent).

Massachusetts (7-3), which dropped its third straight game, kept things close through the midpoint of the first half, trailing 22-19 with 8:51 to go before a 7-0 run put the Pirates in control.

Ferrakohn Hall had 15 points for Seton Hall and Fuquan Edwin and Jeff Robinson each chipped in 13 points. Also in double figures were Herb Pope (11 points), Jamel Jackson and Patrik Auda (10 points each).

Gurley tossed in 26 points for the Minutemen, including 11-of-20 from the field. He also had five rebounds. Freddie Riley scored 14 points.
