Suns 122, Thunder 115: Goran Dragic scored 26 points and Gerald Green added 24 off the bench as host Phoenix picked up a big victory in its pursuit of a playoff berth.
P.J. Tucker made a career-high four 3-pointers en route to a career-best 22 points for the Suns, who moved a game up on Memphis in the race for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and remained a half-game behind seventh-place Dallas. Eric Bledsoe chipped in 18 points and three steals, including a critical one in the final minute as Phoenix closed the game on an 11-3 run.
Kevin Durant scored 38 points to top the 25-point mark for the 41st straight game, snapping a tie with Michael Jordan for the longest streak in the last 50 years. Russell Westbrook had 33 points and eight assists for Oklahoma City, which fell to 0-2 on its four-game road trip and sits a game ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers for second place in the West.
Dragic scored 19 points in the first half to help Phoenix secure a 62-53 lead and made a layup midway through the third to extend the advantage to 80-66. Westbrook's three-point play seconds later ignited a 29-14 surge that stretched into the fourth quarter and Nick Collison's dunk with 11 minutes left gave the Thunder their first lead since the first quarter at 95-94.
It went back and forth in a thrilling stretch run before Markieff Morris drove for a layup to put the Suns up 113-112 with 2:19 left and added two free throws just over a minute later to make it a three-point edge. Bledsoe then made a steal and Tucker hit two free throws before Bledsoe added four more to help seal it, as Oklahoma City missed eight straight shots before Durant's 3-pointer with 12 seconds left.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Oscar Robertson scored 25-plus points in 46 straight games during the 1963-64 season and Wilt Chamberlain did it in all 80 games in 1961-62. ... Durant and Westbrook were 6-of-24 from 3-point range, while Phoenix was 11-of-23. ... Morris and his brother, Marcus, both had 10 points and four rebounds off the bench, combining to shoot 9-of-12.
