HEAT 98, THUNDER 93: LeBron James collected 34 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds as host Miami won its 17th straight home game.
Dwyane Wade added 19 points and Chris Bosh shook off a poor shooting night to finish with 12 points for the Heat, who lost at Oklahoma City 10 days ago.
Miami is now within two games of Chicago for the top record in the East.
Kevin Durant finished with 30 points and Russell Westbrook scored 28 for Oklahoma City, which owns a one-game edge over San Antonio in the West.
The Thunder used an 8-0 run at the beginning of the fourth quarter to take an 81-80 lead. Miami went 3:34 without a basket to start the period before Wade stopped the bleeding. Back-to-back 3-pointers from Shane Battier gave the Heat the lead for good
The stars came out from there, with James scoring the next six points on driving layups for Miami and Westbrook and Durant scoring the next 10 for Oklahoma City to pull it back to 94-93 with 2:33 to play.
Bosh hit a long jumper and Wade knocked down two free throws to close it out.
The Thunder lead by double figures early in the second quarter before James took over, scoring 11 points in the final 5:33 of the period to give the Heat a 50-49 edge at the break.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Miami is one win shy of tying the franchise record home winning streak. … Westbrook was called for a flagrant foul in the second quarter when he pulled James down by the shoulder on a fast break. … Oklahoma City committed 18 turnovers.
