Donovan Solano's two-run double with two outs in the seventh inning broke a tie as the San Francisco Giants defeated the host Seattle Mariners 6-3 in interleague play Friday night.

Buster Posey and Evan Longoria both homered for the second consecutive night for the Giants, who blew a five-run lead in the opener at Seattle and lost 8-7 in 10 innings.

Wandy Peralta (1-0) pitched 1 1/3 hitless innings of relief for the victory and fellow left-hander Jake McGee earned the save.

Mariners right-hander Drew Steckenrider (0-1) took the loss.

Steckenrider relieved starter Yusei Kikuchi in the seventh with the score tied 3-3. He walked Brandon Crawford leading off, then struck out the next two batters.

Following a walk to Mike Yastrzemski, Crawford stole third to put runners at the corners. Solano lined a double down the left field line to put the Giants ahead, and Longoria followed with a run-scoring single up the middle to increase the lead to 6-3.

Kikuchi, a left-hander, allowed only one run through the first five innings -- a solo shot by Posey -- before Longoria tied it with a two-run homer in the sixth. Kikuchi gave up three runs on six hits with one walk and a career-high-tying 10 strikeouts.

The Mariners opened the scoring in the second. With two outs, Jake Fraley lined a double to right field and Luis Torrens followed with a run-scoring double to left.

The Giants tied the score as Posey hit the first pitch of the third inning over the center field wall.

The Mariners regained the lead in the bottom of the inning. Mitch Haniger led off with a line-drive single to right and Ty France doubled to left. With one out, Evan White lined a two-run single to center.

The Giants tied it in the sixth. With one out, Solano grounded a single into center and Longoria followed with a two-run shot to right to make it 3-3.

Giants starter Johnny Cueto, a right-hander, went 5 2/3 innings and allowed three runs on six hits with three walks and seven strikeouts.
