Angels 11, Braves 6 (13):
Mike Trout and Albert Pujols finished with three hits and four RBIs apiece - including back-to-back two-run hits in the 13th inning - as visiting Los Angeles outlasted Atlanta after blowing a four-run lead in the ninth.

Kole Calhoun ignited the five-run 13th with an RBI single as Los Angeles also let a lead in the 10th inning slip away. Erick Aybar matched a career high with four hits and drove in a run while Trout and Pujols also belted back-to-back home runs for Los Angeles in the 4-hour, 57-minute marathon.

Pujols led off the 10th with a double - his third hit of the game - and Josh Hamilton delivered an RBI single to give the Angels a 6-5 advantage. The Braves tied it in the bottom half on Jason Heyward's one-out bloop single against rookie Cam Bedrosian, whose father - former Atlanta pitcher Steve - watched from the seats.

The Braves began the ninth with five straight hits against Ernesto Frieri, including a two-run triple by B.J. Upton which made it 5-4. Freddie Freeman followed with a ground-rule double to tie the game and, after Mike Morin intentionally walked Evan Gattis two batters later, Chris Johnson grounded into an inning-ending double play.

Fernando Salas (4-0) - the eighth Los Angeles pitcher - worked two scoreless innings to earn the victory. Gattis homered for the second straight contest among his three hits while extending his hitting streak to 14 games and Heyward recorded two RBIs for the Braves, who also used eight pitchers.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Atlanta eventually loaded the bases with two out in the 10th before Calhoun robbed Justin Upton of a game-winning hit with a diving catch in right to end the inning. ... Los Angeles' Garrett Richards struck out a career-high 10 and allowed four hits in six scoreless innings while Atlanta's Gavin Floyd yielded four runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 frames. ... Angels manager Mike Scioscia missed the game after attending the funeral of former teammate Bob Welch, who died of a heart attack Monday at age 57. Bench coach Dino Ebel ran the team and improved to 3-0 as acting manager after winning two games earlier this season when Scioscia was attending his daughter's college graduation. ... Steve Bedrosian recorded 184 saves with four teams during his 14-year career.
