Daric Barton, Josh Donaldson and Brandon Moss hit solo homers as visiting Oakland defeated Seattle to snap a five-game losing skid.

Jarrod Parker (2-5) took a one-hitter into the seventh and was charged with three runs and three hits in 6 1/3 innings. Seattle put two runners on base in the ninth before Grant Balfour retired Kyle Seager on a grounder for his sixth save in as many opportunities.

Donaldson homered in the second and Barton went deep in the fourth to give Oakland a 2-0 lead. Jed Lowrie delivered a run-scoring single in the fifth to make it a three-run game before Seattle got on the board in the bottom of the inning on Kelly Shoppach’s two-run blast.

Moss led off the sixth with a homer over the right-center field fence to give Oakland a 4-2 lead and Seattle moved back within a run on Dustin Ackley’s RBI single in the seventh. The Mariners loaded the bases in the eighth before Oakland’s Ryan Cook struck out Endy Chavez to end the threat.

Seattle starter Brandon Maurer (2-5) allowed three runs and six hits in five innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lowrie went 3-for-4, marking the seventh time this season he produced three or more hits. … Mariners OF Mike Morse is 1-for-18 over the last five games after going hitless in four trips to the plate. … Oakland OF Yoenis Cespedes was hitless in four at-bats and is 0-for-15 over the last four games.
