Angels 4, White Sox 1: Kendrys Morales capped a four-run sixth inning with a two-run homer and Jered Weaver posted his American League-leading 19th victory as host Los Angeles completed a three-game sweep of AL Central-leading Chicago.

Albert Pujols collected three hits and two RBIs for the Angels, who remained 2 1/2 games behind Oakland for the second wild-card spot in the AL.

Dayan Viciedo lifted a sacrifice fly for the White Sox, whose division lead over Detroit is one game after the Tigers suffered a doubleheader sweep against the Twins on Sunday.

With Weaver and Gavin Floyd (10-11) locked in a pitchers' duel through five innings, Mike Trout drew a leadoff walk in the sixth and moved to third on Torii Hunter's single before Pujols brought them both home with a double. Morales then deposited Floyd's 2-1 offering into the seats in right-center field for his 22nd blast and a 4-0 lead.

Weaver (19-4) allowed one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings with one walk and four strikeouts. The right-hander, who has yielded a total of four runs over 20 1/3 frames while winning his last three starts, improved to 7-2 with a 1.59 ERA in 10 career outings against Chicago.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Trout scored his 122nd run of the season, putting him within two of the franchise record set in 2004 by Vladimir Guerrero. ... Floyd, who surrendered four runs and seven hits in six innings while striking out eight, fell to 2-6 lifetime against Los Angeles, including an 0-4 mark at Angel Stadium. Floyd has allowed more than three earned runs only twice in his last 11 starts - both versus the Angels. ... Weaver moved one victory ahead of Tampa Bay's David Price for the AL lead.
