Pacers 97, Kings 92: David West scored a game-high 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as visiting Indiana posted its fourth win in five contests.
George Hill recorded 25 points and eight assists while Sam Young added 12 points off the bench for the Pacers, who improved to 2-0 on their four-game road trip.
DeMarcus Cousins contributed 19 points and 16 boards, Marcus Thornton scored 15 points and Jimmer Fredette and Francisco Garcia chipped in 12 apiece for Sacramento, which lost for the eighth time in 10 games.
Indiana used a 12-0 run in the first quarter to turn a one-point deficit into an 18-7 lead with 3:03 remaining. A tip-in by Garcia with 4:57 left in the second put Sacramento ahead 32-31, but the Pacers moved in front for good 66-64 on a running hook shot by West with 3:57 to play.
After the Kings got within 74-71 two minutes into the fourth, Hill and Young sank back-to-back 3-pointers with 8:29 left to push Indiana's advantage to nine. Sacramento closed the gap to 94-92, but Hill split a pair of free throws and Thornton missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer with 4.9 seconds remaining.
