Kings 4, Blues 3: Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams scored 76 seconds apart in the third period to erase a deficit and host Los Angeles held on to even its Western Conference first-round series against fourth-seeded St. Louis at two games apiece.

Jeff Carter and Dustin Penner also tallied while Jonathan Quick made 19 saves for the fifth-seeded Kings, who recorded a total of three goals over the first three games. The series shifts back to the Gateway City for Game 5 on Wednesday.

After T.J. Oshie scored his second goal of the game in the second period to give the Blues a 3-2 lead, the reigning Stanley Cup champion Kings dominated the third as they were 20 minutes away from a 3-1 series deficit. Captain Dustin Brown made a pass from the right corner to Kopitar, who tapped the puck past Brian Elliott from the doorstep at 7:14 for his first goal in 20 games. Williams snapped the tie at 8:30, deflecting Mike Richards' shot from along the left-wing boards by Elliott for his second tally of the series.

Captain David Backes netted a goal and Vladimir Sobotka notched two assists for St. Louis. Elliott turned aside 25 shots as his streak of one goal allowed was halted at six games.

The Blues jumped out of the gate early, building a 2-0 lead in the first 4:32 of the game. Backes took advantage of a favorable carom off the end boards 72 seconds into the contest and Oshie tipped defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk's point shot past Quick during a power play. Los Angeles answered later in the first period on goals by Carter and Penner, who completed a nifty series of passes involving Jarret Stoll and defenseman Alec Martinez during a 3-on-1 rush.
