Blue Jackets 3, Ducks 2 (OT): Defenseman Fedor Tyutin scored at 2:19 of overtime as visiting Columbus extended its winning streak to five games and climbed into a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Blake Comeau and Matt Calvert also scored while Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves for the Blue Jackets, who moved two points ahead of Detroit for eighth place in the West. The Red Wings dropped a 3-2 decision in Calgary earlier on Wednesday.
Nick Foligno spun away from a defender and moved into the left faceoff circle before sending a lead pass to Tyutin, who tipped the puck past Viktor Fasth as Columbus improved to 3-0-0 on its six-game road trip.
Defenseman Sami Vatanen and David Steckel had goals and Fasth turned aside 25 shots for Anaheim, which has lost three in a row and four of six.
Vatanen opened the scoring during a power play at 11:37 of the first period with his first career goal, but Comeau forged a tie with 3:22 remaining in the second by redirecting defenseman James Wisniewski's pass. After Steckel put the Ducks back in front with his first of the season at 4:53 of the third, Calvert knotted the contest less than five minutes later by burying a rebound on the doorstep.
