No. 6 Arizona 80, Oregon 62: T.J. McConnell scored a season-high 21 points as the visiting Wildcats knocked off the Ducks.
Stanley Johnson added 14 points and seven rebounds and Kaleb Tarczewski finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for Arizona (14-1, 2-0 Pac-12). Rondae Hollis-Jefferson contributed 13 points and nine rebounds as all five starters scored in double figures for the Wildcats.
Joseph Young scored 12 points to lead Oregon, but shot 4-for-15 from the field. Jordan Bell added 11 points and Dillon Brooks scored nine for the Ducks (11-4, 1-1).
Arizona scored the first eight points and led by as many as 11 early, but Oregon managed to narrow the gap to five at the half. Oregon struggled to get back within single digits as the Ducks kept putting the Wildcats on the free throw line.
The Wildcats went up by 14 on two occasions midway in the second half. Bell converted a three-point play with 8:23 left to pull Oregon within 11 but the Ducks couldn't get any closer than nine the rest of the way.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Bell was inserted into the starting lineup in place of Dwayne Benjamin and blocked three shots to tie the single-season school record of 51 set by Tony Woods in 2011-12. … Arizona has 127 victories since the start of the 2010-11 season, the eighth-best total nationally and the top win total in the Pac-12 over that stretch. … Arizona coach Sean Miller is 34-24 in true road games with the Wildcats.
