White scored 17 of his game-high points in the second half, including eight straight to give the Seminoles (18-14) a 40-38 lead with 14:25 left. Devon Bookert and Terrance Shannon added 12 points apiece for Florida State, which will play third-seeded North Carolina in Friday's quarterfinals.
Jordan Roper had 18 points for the Tigers (13-18), who led by as many as 10 in the first half and trailed by as many as 14 in the second half. K.J. McDaniels added 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
Damarcus Harrison got Clemson within 52-49 with a 3-pointer before Bookert answered with his own 3-pointer to start a 13-2 run to push the lead to 65-51 with 2:58 left. Clemson clawed back by hitting 8-of-17 free throws and two late 3-pointers in the final 2:23, but Michael Snaer sealed the win with four free throws in the final 22 seconds.
McDaniels blocked Boris Bojanovsky's dunk and then slammed down a miss for a 34-24 lead with 3:40 left in the first half. Florida State finished the half on a 6-1 run to get within 35-30 by halftime.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Shannon played 19 minutes, his first significant playing time since injuring his neck against Virginia on Jan. 19. ... It is the first time Florida State has beaten Clemson three times in a season. ... The Seminoles are 16-2 in ACC regular-season and tournament games decided by five or fewer points in the past two seasons.
