Harper Kamp had 14 points and eight rebounds as California handed visiting Colorado its first Pacific-12 loss with a 57-50 win over the Buffaloes Thursday.
Justin Cobbs added 12 points and grabbed five rebounds for California (14-4, 4-1 Pac-12), which improved to 12-0 at home this season and moved into a tie for first place in the Pac-12 with Stanford.
Colorado (11-5, 3-1 Pac-12) was paced by Austin Dufault, who scored 19 points, including three 3-pointers.
Andre Roberson added 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Buffaloes, who were the Pac-12’s last unbeaten team after opening conference play with three straight home wins.
The Golden Bears, who scored a season-low 22 first-half points and trailed by seven at halftime, opened the second half with a 21-10 run and led by four with 8:34 to play.
Both of the teams’ top scorers struggled, with California’s Jorge Gutierrez shooting 2 of 17 and Colorado’s Carlon Brown going 3 of 10. Both teams shot below 36 percent from the field.
